The Disappearing Act

A forged doctor's letter, a geriatric rabbit named Houdini, and a 1979 Cadillac held together by duct tape and delusion—insurance adjuster Nell Hughes hasn't spoken to her father in years, so when the retired stage magician shows up claiming he's dying and begging her to drive him to Las Vegas for one last performance, she knows better than to trust a man who built his life on misdirection. But the open road has a way of revealing what's been hidden, and some tricks only work when you stop trying to see through them.
