A retired Cleveland homicide detective living out her golden years in a Florida active-adult community refuses to believe the HOA president drowned by accident. Jean Banas and three fellow retirees — a fraud investigator, a soap-opera actress, and an accountant who audits for fun — form a secret murder club disguised as a water aerobics committee. But when their snooping draws a threatening note and escalating danger, they discover the killer is closer than anyone imagined, and retirement might just be the most dangerous job they've ever had.
