Annette Cawley has spent fourteen years as the woman Orchard Terrace trusts: high school principal, HOA board member, the calm voice that settles fence disputes before they turn ugly. Then a muralist named Roslyn Fielder rents the house at the end of the cul-de-sac and paints a glowing night garden across its wall without permission.
