Deranged but Oddly Moving

Fourteen months into a retirement he never wanted, washed-up regional director Gilbert Pringle gets a telegram — an actual telegram — from a tech billionaire who has turned Pelican Bluff's dead fish cannery into a Shakespeare festival. The money would fix his leaking roof. The job comes with a dramaturge who once called his Hamlet a felony, a nephew with no talent and infinite hope, a protein-shake heartthrob as Oberon, and an eighty-one-year-old legend who can't remember his own character's name. Somebody should probably stop this.
