Four grieving women seek solace in a remote Scottish island cottage, but the voices waiting for them in the dark offer something far worse than haunting. Sophie Underhill and her friends from a grief support group each carry unbearable loss — a dead son, a lost mother, a shattered marriage, a colleague killed before her eyes. When the ancient church ruin at the island's heart begins calling to them in the voices of their dead, one by one they answer.
