The Dog's Teeth

Seventeen-year-old Will Roskilly knows every rock on his stretch of the Cornish coast, because his drowned father's chart-book taught him. On a gale night in 1757 he sees a lantern swung where no lantern should be, and watches a Falmouth packet break her back on the reef called the Dog's Teeth.
