I enjoyed reading this book! Some of the ideas and words used were a little repetitive but I didn’t mind it too much. The characters were pretty great, if the book was a bit longer, I think there is great potential for detail put into the characters enough to create individual, well thought out backstory but slow-burn and well deserved growth. I do wish this book was longer as it would’ve made for a very great long read and I kept getting more excited to read more every time I got the chance.

About this audiobook
Summary
Two rival magical dynasties have kept their hatred alive for two hundred years, meeting only at the Palazzo Noire—a masquerade ball held inside a dimension between worlds. Lyra Marchwood, the youngest prodigy of her house, attends for the first time and finds herself drawn to a masked stranger whose honesty disarms her. But when the masks dissolve at midnight, she discovers he is Casimir Falkenrath, heir to her family's sworn enemy. Worse still, the palazzo itself harbors a secret that could unravel everything both families believe about their ancient feud.
