Good Old Humphrey (Ages 8–12)

Humphrey is the oldest tortoise anyone has ever seen, and he's lived on Nutley Farm longer than even the farmer can remember. Most folks think he's just a slow, quiet garden ornament — but Humphrey watches everything. When he spots a dangerous crack in the barn wall where thirty newborn lambs are sleeping, he knows he has to warn someone. The trouble is, nobody listens to a tortoise.
