Even with all the ropework terminology over my head, it’s undeniably a beautifully written story about love and passion, without all the cliches about gorgeous women and dark handsome men - in fact I love how the work bypasses the typical romance trope about attraction, making the people and the way love finds them both in a way that speaks of respect and trust the center of the story. I can actually believe that these imperfect characters choose forever together because the love feels real and permanent. Now time to hunt down everything else this author has written.
