Three-Mile World

Willow Bend, Colorado wakes to a wall it cannot see. A three-mile sphere has sealed 4,211 people inside their own valley — no radio, no water from the reservoir, no air but what they already have. Water engineer Logan Chambers traces the source to a dry well on the Montero ranch, where something buried since 1902 has begun to glow. His twelve-year-old daughter starts drawing its thoughts. The town has three weeks of breathable air, and a mayor who would rather have order than truth.
