The Stewards

A dying coal town in Kentucky becomes ground zero for humanity's first contact when five plant-like aliens land on a strip-mined mountain and begin restoring the poisoned earth. Pastor Amos Greely watches his congregation fracture between wonder and terror, his wife documents impossible healings she cannot explain, and their son befriends the youngest alien—a friendship that will cost more than any of them imagined.
