A single celadon bowl—hidden, smuggled, and protected across a century of war—holds the fractured truth of the Baek family. When Korean-American architect Jiyeon Baek receives a letter from a cousin she never knew existed in Pyongyang, she is drawn into a story spanning from Japan's 1910 annexation of Korea through the divided peninsula's frozen conflict.
